Our Yo-Yo Design

Image
Our Yo-Yo consists of two injection-molded parts, which fit together through a press fit. The base part contains the nut to join the two halves together. There are also a wooden ring and a cut and edged stainless steel part presenting the skyline of Boston on one side and the skyline of MIT on the other side. The Team

Image
We are 2.008's D1 Lab Section! Inspired by the fact that half of us living in Boston and the other half on campus in Cambridge and that many of us spend half their time in Boston and half in Cambridge, we want to make a beautiful YoYo with Boston's skyline on one and Cambridge's on the other side. The team consists of Matt (bottom) who lives in Beta Theta Pi (Boston), likes making homemade pizza, reading Stephen King novels, and started a company Herbicide Robotics. Leandra (top left) lives in No.6 (MIT Campus, Cambridge) likes painting murals, running along the Charles, baking (because of the dough!) and wishes she could say that she also started a company. Ellen (top of the picture) lives in Simmons - so also on campus (Cambridge) and enjoys painting and drawing, while Christopher (right) and Travis (left) live across the bridge in Boston. Watch out for some pretty nice YoYos coming soon!
